THE COMEBACK STREET... STREET PLAY

Street play is a form of play and presentation performed for social or political awareness purpose in outdoor public spaces. These spaces can be anywhere, including shopping centers, car parks, recreational reserves and street corners. They are especially seen in outdoor spaces where there are large numbers of people.  

The logistics of doing street theatre necessitate simple costumes and regular props, and often there is little or no amplification of sound, with actors depending on their natural vocal and physical ability.. The performances need to be highly visible, loud and simple to follow in order to attract a crowd.

KOLOSSEUM' 12 - Dare to Defy..!!

Kolosseum '12  revived the platform of KSOM by creating a lot whole of varieties in diversified field for everyone to prove their excellence in their field as a best manager or as a best entrepreneur by daring to overcome the negatives and to bring in the buoyancy. It is as much a show of individual firepower as the nuances of group dynamics. Kolosseum '12  was all about throwing away the cover of dark shadow and bringing a true meaning of one’s existence. It is as much about stock markets, advertisements and business quizzes as it is about star nights, dances, rock shows and fashion.

With a total of 22 events,  36 colleges had successfully participated and won many accolades to their name. Students from IIM Calcutta, XLRI Jamshedpur,  XIMB Bhubaneswar, IIT Bhubaneswar and many more have been crowned the title of the ultimate manager and the best marketer with excellent marketing skills. Many had challenged and won the grand slam of the perfect orator, reflected their talents on business by creating ad-show grabbing everyone’s attention while other had stated out their views on stock market. Many displayed their uniform of confidence wearing the attitude of victory to show their best on the ramp show while many other raised their voice on the injustice running across in the society by assembling to let people hear them. Many thumped their feet on the beats to create a history while many other stood confidently against the labyrinth of questions put forward.

The mystery didn't end there, Kunal Ganjawala, the singer ruling a place in everyone's heart banged the stage with his melodious and breathtaking voice making everyone tap their feet to  his rhythmic voice. He invited a feeling of bliss to sooth everyone after the entire day's ordeals. His presence turned everyone vibrant and vivacious to respond to the trials of tomorrow.

All in all, Kolosseum'12 left its footprints in the heart of those who walked in to show the world their worth by responding to the challenges and to get drenched in the joys of pleasure for the entire 3 day of the festival.
